Kota Doriya is an open-weave cotton from Kota in Rajasthan. The weave leaves fine square gaps across the fabric, which is what makes it so light and airy — it's one of the coolest things you can wear through an Indian summer. Where to wear it

This is a summer and daytime suit. It works for a puja, a morning function, Varalakshmi Vratam, a haldi or mehendi you're attending as a guest, and it's light enough for office wear through the hot months. The embroidery on both kurti and dupatta makes it dressy enough for a function without being heavy.

Care

We recommend dry cleaning. Kota Doriya is a fine open weave and chikankari embroidery sits on delicate ground fabric — dry cleaning protects both, and avoids the colour release that can happen in a first home wash. If you press it, iron on low heat with a cloth between the iron and the embroidery.
